EOS 5D - 28-80 L at 42mm setting- 100 ASA - 1/800th at f5.6. Shot in monochrome, red filter dialed in and polariser added. I like black and white too, made many shots with Plus X and Tri X (do they still exist?). I've spent 5 semesters worth of darkroom hours in both high school and college all for monochrome prints. The detail against the inky black is superb. Which could only be achieved with red filter and polarizer... and another red filter on enlarger... that's when I was into black and white photography with Plus/Tri X. ChiangMaiAmerican Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 For any analog users I bought some Chinese ERA 4x5 black and white to test. As soon as I get the chemistry I'll let everyone know how it worked out. Its much cheaper than Kodak. You can direct import at reasonable prices too.
