Visa-on-arrival In Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am from India, and I understand that citizens of India can get 'Visa-on-arrival' at the Suvarnabhumi airport. I have gathered that I need the following three things for the same:

1) A filled up VISA application form

2) 2 passports size pics with a white background

3) Proof of 10000 Bhat

4) Return air tickets

5) Hotel reservations

6) Valid passport with minimum 6 months validity

I wanted to know how to address the 3rd requirement above. Do we need to carry 10,000 Bhat in hard currency? Or would an international Credit Card fulfill this requirement?

Also, does it usually involve a long wait, to get the VISA-on-arrival at the airport? Are there any other requiremtns other than the 6 I have mentioned aboive.

Thanks and regards,

Sachin

you need a boarding card from your flight and a fee 1000baht.

one picture

proof can be a bank statement or even a printed slip from the atm stating your savings

hotel reservation are not essential - but you have to put some thai addess on the form

depending on the que, waiting time 1 - 60 minutes, just jump firsts from the aiplane and run to change money, if you are coming on a plane from india.

and a confirmed outbound airticket within 15 days of arrival.
