i have been using opera for a week now, and like how you can download web pages and have text only appear. this makes loading webpages quick. hit g and the pictures will load, ctr-g and all the rest of the dreck will load. try this on the front page of the Nation...you get about a dozen lines of text only.

Does it look tidier and better than similar features in IE and Netscape?

Try it and see for yourself, it is only a 3.4MB download. I haven't gone back to IE.

hav u tried firefox...i hav heard that - its pretty good 2...and its open source...so no banner ads or any money 2 be paid to buy it...

I do use Firefox since about 1 month and I am satisfied with it, but to be honest, just like when I changed from Netscape to Explorer 7 years ago or something, I don't really think the difference is that great. However, since I like the idea of open source I will stick to Firefox until I find something even better. Will try Opera next week when I get my cable modem hooked up.
