Wireless Mouse

Featured Replies

Hi,I am using a microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard with the latest drivers installed. When i open certain webpages my signal gets so low that the mouse hardly moves and I almost can't type a text.I can't excactly specify which webpages cause the problem but for instance when I opened the topic about the baht hitting a new high I had the problem. As soo as I switched to anther topic the problem dissapeared. Most of the time it also happens when I am writing a message in hotmail that I have to type very slowly otherwise the text is incomplete. What could cause the of interfering with my wireless signal on webpages?

If it is only being effected with webpages but not general use then the question do you have WiFi running? Frequencies are close. Might put the wireless receiver on an USB extension cable and place it closer to the mouse/keyboard. Also mobile phone, if you are using that for your network connection.

My reasoning is that when you are accessing the web, if WiFi, and large page content - then the WiFI will be transmitting more traffic and more chance of interfering with the RF receiver for the mouse.

Absolutely nothing.

Unless you have a very slow machine. Or even a fast one where the CPU is running a bit hot. Do you have other prgrams running at the same time?

F.ex ITunes running in the bacground, or a picture program or something like that?

To answer the reply's from tywais and gimbo.I have no wifi network or other programs running in the background. My machine has a 3.4 ghz dualcore processor with 2 Gb of ram.I just checked again on the topic from the thai baht rising, with a lot of members reading the topic, and my cursor hardly moved over the page.Changed to another page and problem solved. My idea is that it must have something to do with something displayed on that page that intefeers with my signal. The point is to find out what.
