Hi-rises Within 200 Meters Of Seashore?

I heard that Hua Hin stopped all building over 14 metres within 200 metres of the seashore. What is situation now? Has buildings over 14 metres in height recommenced in Hua Hin area?

I had heard en passant a couple of years ago that HM the King had mentioned that he didn't really care for buildings higher than the trees so perhaps this is the follow-up.

Just keeping up to date. Anything over 14 meters being built at the moment within 200 metres of the seashore?

Here in Pattaya (Jomthien) we are still not sure what is happening with View Talay building 27 storeys just 100 metres from mean sea level when it appears that the Law says cannot do, has to be 200 meters from MSL.

Many farangs here are crowing that VT is being allowed to build because VT says Law means measure 100 meters into the sea and then 200 meters back onto land!!

Here in Cha Am near the Veranda Resort we have have a 14 story Condo under construction right on the beach front. Don't know what the story is but was mentioned that perhaps the permit was issued before the new "law" It has also been mentioned that there was no building permit issued and that the construction is going up very fast in hopes that it will be finished before action against it can be taken.

The building is quite nice looking but it has blocked our view of the beach to the north.
