Hi,

I hope someone can help with this.

I am not sure if the rules have changed in the last two years regarding the flr.

My wife received her settlement visa, but the embassy forgot to date it for a month later which meant by the time we travel to the uk we had lost a month on the visa which we took she would then have to apply for the FLR for a 2 year extension, this wasn't a problem.

However at the immigration office yesterday, with all our paperwork in hand, we would told that they would only extend the visa (flr) by 1 month to make take it up to the fulll two years. This now means we are 600 pounds down (for 1 month extension) and now my wife has a little under 2 months to do her life in uk test (she hasn't even looked at this as she was expecting to do this in the next two years), and we now have to find the money within this same period for her to apply for ILR. For the 1 month extension they didn't even look at the paperwork we have spent weeks putting together. We feel badly treated and ripped off.

Surely this can't be correct? Has anyone any advice or experience with this.

Thanks in advance.

Scott.
