Big And Tall Clothing Shops In Bkk

To the big and tall farangs out there,

Are there any decent Big and Tall clothing stores in BKK. If so where? I stay in the Sukhumvit area off of Soi 22 between Phrom Phong and Asok BTS Skytrain stations. I also frequent the Happyland area with my wife when we go shopping, usually at The Mall Bangkapi. Anywhere along the BTS or Metro line would be good.

I have been into the major department stores that have a big and tall section, but the variety is very limited and way expensive.

Will I just have to have something tailor made to get something decent to wear? I have plenty of T-shirts and short pants.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I am big and tall, 3x and 4x shorts and casual wear can be found on the street but dress clothes imho are best purchased at the tailor. cheers.

I'm 6-8 and 46 in. waist....

I've never found any pre-made long pants in stores here in BKK that are long enough to fit me (but never found them in the stores in the U.S. either).

Large and tall T-shirts can be found in various of the street stalls, and more permanently, the top clothing floor of MBK shopping center (National Stadium BTS stop) had some small stands at the far end, last time I checked, that had a fair selection of polo shirts and such in various big and tall sizes.

For other things, at present, I stock up on periodic trips back to the U.S., and also could consider ordering online from KingSize.com for CasualMale.com in the U.S., and then having the clothes shipped to my mail forwarding address in the U.S.

Basic clothes aren't that heavy, nor are those two online stores' prices so high, that it would trigger much in the way of shipping costs. But I don't believe either will ship directly abroad. They'll only ship within the U.S. And then you have to arrange for the U.S. to Thailand segment.

I've yet to hear of a "big and tall" shop anywhere in Bangkok or Thailand.

Well I can hope can't I. I'll just have to take "appropriate" clothing with me, so me and the missus can do the tourist thing and visit the temples. The only place I personally have located is the main department store in The Mall Bangkapi. They have a super small big and tall section and 3x was as big as I could find. I can get away with that, but prefer loose fitting clothes. And to top it I paid 1900 baht for a polo shirt (the one in my avatar).

My goal is to keep from having to pay extra for excess baggage. There some things I have to have, like a decent razor, another thing impossible to find in BKK. The closest thing I ever saw to a Big and Tall store is a place called Fat Girls next to The Mall 2x-5x. Scary to think of a 5XL Thai girl
