Hello,

Im from the Philippines and I would like to ask how am I gonna be able to stay in Thailand for a year studying Muay Thai? I did this last 2006 when you can cross the border with no worries. But alas, times has changed and now I find myself in this dilemma.

What options do I have if Im gonna apply for non-immigrant visas? Would they (Thai Embassy in Manila) consider training Muay Thai as study?

Thank You and Best Regards.

I don't believe a Muay Thai School or Academy would fall under a non-immigrant ED visa category. Here is some contact information that might help:

Embassy of Thailand in Makati City, Philippines

Royal Thai Embassy

Building 107 Rada Street Legaspi Village

Makati City

Tel: (63-2) 815-4219 to 20

Fax: (63-2) 815-4221

With the right documentation from the Muang Thai organisation he might get a Non O multi, but the Thai Embassy in the Philippines is not famous for being a big help.
