Torture By Karaoke.

It was terrible, stuck on a bus with almost nonstop Karoke from the local ex friends. We had a stop for food. En route from Ranong to Kanchanaburi. I thought the police were going to resue me at one time. However they were just collecting tee money from the driver. Occupational hazard he sent his assistant to do it. By the time we got off the bus I was a gibbering wreck. Then I got it again coming back home. 30 Thais and not one of them could carry a tune. :o

Little known "fact" is that Karaoke is actually a contraction of two Japanese words

The first means - People who shouldn't drink

and the second means - People who shouldn't sing

Good joke, I liked it... But just to be pedantic

Karaoke is in fact a combination of two Japanese words

Kara = empty (as in Karate meaning empty hand)

Oke = orchestra

The martial arts VCDs at 3,000,000 decibels are just as bad, I reckon. After a couple of hours of that, I could feel the will to live slipping away. I was saved by a pretty big bump in the road which totally knackered the player. Everyone else on the bus looked p***ed-off, while I was offering-up a silent prayer.
