Many that stand out in the street signs. But the loss of face for your poor girl must be terrible. The Singaporeans that I know would not hide their amusement. The Thai name is as it sounds in English. I was rolling around when my GF told me the title and when I explained the pronunciation to her she walked round the house going "I <deleted>, I <deleted>" Aparently it's the lead male's name in the movie! I think one of the Miss Thailand winners was named Pornthip too. "Lipschitz" is a nice Jewish name.
