Hi Folks

I am planning to do a formal TEL course in Thailand and stay here for a while to spend as much as 24 hr a day to master the language.

Been reading about schools like Walen can do the ED Visa etc. Does such language schools have to be registered with the Ministry of Education in Thailand? I wonder how does the paperwork requirement work. Hate to go register at a school and later find out from them that they cant get me an ED Visa because of this, that, what-not. Dont wish to waste time and effort trying to get my $ back from a school which cannot provide me the formal education and the ED Visa.

Any advice is deeply appreciated.

I can assure you about Walen, you will not lose your money. We provide quality Thai lessons, you can have free demonstration and we can help you with your visa during your studies. We have been registered now for 7 years so not a new kid on the block. You can study in Bangkok but very soon also in Pattaya. By the end of this year perhaps also in Chian Mai and Phuket.

It all depends on demand. We first want to see if the school in Pattaya works, if it does we will think about other locations. I am not sure about Hatyai, don't think there are a lot of foreigners wanting to study Thai there but I might be wrong.

Regards, Mac
