bsacbob
Hi all, Does anyone have any history of transporting a dog from the UK to Chiang Rai, i have spoken to Thai cargo at Heathrow, he quoted me £12.25 per kg and they said they could get the dog to Chiang Mai and we would have to organise our own transport to CR, i am not sure if the guy was clued up or not but has anyone flown a dog into CR airport ? I have spoken to several specialist dog shipping agents and they are saying they can only get the dog to Bangkok and i would have to organise my own internal flight with the dog with a local shipping agent. Cheers

Cheers Brought my pooch in (avatar) last August from Oz, PM me for details and who I had handle the business. Had to go to BKK, but I was keen to have him out of customs asap. He landed at 10.30pm, stayed in the lockup overnight and had him out by 10am. I dont think I would be happy with him landing in CM, the baggage guys might even run him through the CTX scanners!!!! Was all pretty easy as long as all documentation, vet checks and shots are as per Dept of Ag specifications...... I used a shipping agent to do nothing but put him on a plan at Tularmarine, Melbourne, all other stuff i organised with vets I knew. Was roughly 30,000 baht for transport which matches your 12 quid fairly closely.
