Can anyone write in Thai "boric acid" (chemical formula H3BO3, sometimes written B(OH)3 )

and "diatomaceous earth", please ?

If you can indicate how to say them, that would help, too :o .

These arose in the thread about centipede control in the Chiangmai subforum.

(sorry, cut & paste messed with the font sizes )

Hi,

Thai Wikipedia seems to give DIN BAO ดินเบา for 'diatomaceous earth'.

http://th.wikipedia.org/wiki/ดิ...;บา.

A quick search on Google showed a few names for Boric acid:

BORIC AER-SID บอริคแอซิด which seems to be a direct transcription of the English word 'boric acid'.

BORIC GROT โบริกกรด (GROT is the Thai word for 'acid').

Also saw a few entries for it spelt as GROT BORIC กรดบอรริค, กรดบอริก etc

Thai common name is ดินเบา (Din Bao) you can call it as ไดอะตอมมาเชียส เอิร์ท(diatomaceous earth) or ไดอะตอมไมท์ (diatomite)
