I'm thinking about buying a new Honda Jazz, has anybody ordered one or even bought one yet, and do you have any idea if there is a waiting list for this car ?

I know Cash speaks very loud when buying a new car, so I am wondering the actual availability of the new Jazz in the Honda showrooms. Any ideas chaps, I'm offshore at the moment and due back in 10 days.

I know when I bought my Fortuner I was told it would take 2 months before I could take delivery, I said OK, never mind as I will be at work by then.

Then he asked how I would pay, I said Cash, he went to see the Boss, came back 5 mins later, took me to where the new cars had been delivered and there were 2 Fortuners. One was the Silver colour I wanted so I said I will take that, I came back the next day and paid the cash after they had fitted the extras and drove it away.

From a 2 month wait to a 5 minute when cash was offered.

I know that some other guy probably had a phone call with an exscuse as to why his Fortuner would not be delivered at the time they had previously told him, but I doubt they told him it was cos they had sold his car to me.

Any info on the new Jazz anybody ?

Got a Thai friend who workes for Honda here in Surin. I asked him about the new Jazz and he told me the following (in between glasses of whiskey, I might add)

1. They (Surin dealer) have already taken 9 orders from customers JUST reading about the new car!!

2. First delivery to showroom will be the end of April

3. In Japan they sold 20,000 in the first 10 days.

4. System being set up for delivery within 2 DAYS!!! (not sure if he meant Thai or Nippon)

5. Can I have another whiskey.

Looks like the end of April with cash in hand will secure a car.

i think it depends on where you will be buying the car.

if at one of the larger dealers they will have one or two in the showroom.

waiting period could be 2 or 3 weeks, depending on colour, engine type, options etc.

you may strike lucky, or you may have to take another model if you want it there and then as opposed to waiting, otherwise just leave the money with the mrs and let her sort it out.
