Jodie Foster's most recent version was far better than the Deborah Kerr-Yul Brynner musical. Jodie doesn't exactly fall in love with Rama IV or vice-versat. And he doesn't walk around the stage singing, "Et cetera, et cetera."

It's hard to believe that the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical would be showing in Thailand.

My kids love it,Seeing they just finished a 10 day Theatre show of the King and I at the local Theatre.

We must be very careful to discuss this film on a Thailand related forum, as it is banned and censured in Thailand. I will keep this topic open for another day maximum , then it goes into the bin. Sorry!
