Hi

I currently have for my business opt in email list, about 1500 contacts emails (opt in list) and I have since 2004 been using constantcontact.com however since i only send out about every 6 weeks, and I do not use all the fancy design graphics (I send simple text style email) on constantcontact.com plus I find they have gone pricy, & are a pain in the butt to deal with, I wanted to see what else is out there.

I am not really interested in internet marketing or auto responder products like awebber or getresponse.

I just want a simple, online email boardcast marketing application, I am upload my email list to, set up quickly a very simple email to send out, and it is costs less the constanctcontact does, and of course there is an Unsubscribe button on there, so my list can opt out from me anytime they want to.

I have found a few different Thailand based services, and some looked like a simple version of constantcontact, at very reasonable prices. I cannot remember names, one i found was 400 B a month for under 2000 email list, & looked very handy, though most of the site was in thai and not much english.

The best way of answering this, is to ask people here, has or does anyone use any of these Thailand online products, and what would be recommendable as being one worth considering?

very keen to get feedback asap this week, so please post or PM me asap as I wanted to send out email friday morning GMT at very latest.

Thanks

I used to do this from my desktop. For the numbers you are talking about there is a program I used called Mailboy, which is very, very simple to use, and will send out your 1,500 in about 1 to 2 hours. You then set up a yahoo email address to collect opt-outs (this is CAN-SPAM compliant), and build your suppression list from there.

After you have bought the software (about $30-$40) it costs you nothing. It will take you about 30 mins to read the instructions and get up and running. It can send via DNS, or what I would recommend through SMTP via port 25, for the numbers you are talking about your ISP will not have any issues. You can set the number of times for it to retry failed mails, and it will produce a report at the end telling which, if any, addresses failed to send.

Do a search for Mailboy 2004, it's still called this even though the latest build was about 6 months ago.

Thanks for that information.

I am looking at both suggestions, ymlp.com looks very like a simple hosted cost effective newsletter sender, its interesting, & I emailed them a few questions. price looks good too, not sure if they take paypal or not?

and mailboy I am on the web site Euro 40. if it can handle by 1800 (or less emails as I might prune some out) without any ISP problems, then all the better, i will consider both and anything else anyone suggests.

One Question on this is I have 18,000 emails which are on a website opt in. this is software that web guy made himself, sort of bespoke re emails opt ins, and we had to remove unsubscribes manually.

Question is, its been a while since I sent this list, so if I wanted to add the 18,000 email to like of ymlp.com or any other recommended email broadcast simple low cost application, pop them a once off email to explain, we are changing email applications, and asking them to stay subscribed or option to unsubscribe, since this is 18,000 emails, its a big email blast, if I used on a Separate List from my (1800 list), would it be Doable to set up the 18,000 on the email application email broadcast provider? (without any ISP BS, or getting assused of spam when the 18,000 opt into my web site this past few years etc etc. )

Thanks great info so far..

I've sent over 100,000 in one go using Mailboy without a problem, but I guess it depends on your ISP. One useful feauture is that you can set a maximum speed at which the emails are delivered. If you set it to, say, 500 per hour, then it would take 36 hours to run out and would be more of a 'dribble' than a 'blast'.

Your biggest potential problem with an old list will be spam complaints, but as long as the message is compliant, and you have the opt-in data, then you can contest that.
