.. I am not sure what needs to happen. Can anyone offer some advice?

The situation is that my current WP and Non-Imm B will expire on June 9. My job will continue but for accounting reasons the company employing me will change. I know this needs a new WP but I also worry about recent reports that you have to leave the same day your job ends. Is it possible for my new employing company to apply for the new WP whilst I am still working at the current company, and have it start on the same day as my current one expires? And can the current Non-Imm B be extended once I get the new WP, or do I have to go through the whole application process again?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

I believe it is possible if both in agreement and same office. Believe you add the new employment and then remove the old. Sorry but don't know exact details.

Hi iv been doing some research on this recently for a similar situation, you are allowed to add other companys on your work permit aslong as they are registered in the same province and as long as the original company on the work permit is okay with that which in your case should be no problem, im not to sure of the criteria either you or the company need to forfill to be eligible for a 'extension of stay' based on your job which means you do not have to leave the country every 90 days you just go to the one stop permit centre every 90 days to sign a piece of paper that is also the place where you apply and that is on Rasa Tower, Phaloyoutin Road(i think) opposite the go kart track, if by any chance you are married to a Thai then you can get the extension of stay base on marriage and a family income of 40k per month(either you, the missus or a combo), i would recommend this as if you get the extension of stay based on the employer and it all goes pear then 'officaly' you have to leave the country within 7Days and re enter with a diferent visa which isnt as bad as it sounds as you are okay with a 30 day visa exempt stamp but its a pain in the ass to have to do it..

Good luck

Thanks for your comments. I'll update the situation as and when it happens for anyone else in the same situations.

Cheers - Andy.

Just by way of an update, my 'new' company has been required to take photographs of me at my desk and of the office in general (at the company where I am working now) in support of the application for the new WP. Just to make things clear my job is not changing but my employing company is. (From one company is our group to another).

I'm not quite sure why this is required? Surely this is a fresh application? I also had to provide the medical certificate letter too so I'm not sure what would happen if I wasn't currently working?

Anyway .. the process is continuing and I will update once it's done.
