I Need An Import Permit For My Dog

Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone please help me?

I am flying into Thailand in August and I will be bringing my dog.

The airline (SwissAir) tell me that I need an Import Permit prior to flying.

Is this right as I thought a permit was issued on arrival.

Can anyone tell me who I need to speak to (in English) to get a permit in advance as I seem to be going around in circles.

Hope someone can help.

Cheers.

Hi,

You can find the import permit document here:

Thanks Nienke i have been searching the net for days trying to find an import permit.

On 'Department of Livestock' website it sates you need to put official application in 15 days prior to arrival, is this correct?

I wish to take my dog from the UK to Thailand 18th June, i just dont want no problems in Bangkok.

Also what are the chances of a dog from the UK being quarantined in Thailand for 30days as stated on there site...

If it states on the website to offically apply 15 days before arrival, I suggest to do so. So, better do it today.

Quarantine can be done at home, so in fact there is no quarantine as long a your dog is healthy and all paperwork is in order.

Nienke
