Firstly I suppose I'd better congratulate Man U's title this year, but of course once more a pretty serious allegation has asrisen.

Now, believe me this is not sour grapes, rather I am particuarly proud in the way our team fought back against all odds to get within touching distance to the Champions, but how many of you out there think that refs give United 10-15 points per season?

And I'm talking serious stuff. OK United had a penalty awarded against them at Chelsea (their first and only penalty against all year)Maybe the ref didn't see it. The average this year was 4 penalties per team ( for, not against) United had 8 awarded.

Now look at sundays title showdown, where Ferdinand inside his box, without not a player around him, knocked the ball out for a corner with his arm. It was a penalty that even Stevie Wonder would have seen. The same happened a few weeks ago, when a United plyer knocked it out with his hand (Ferdinand again if I remember)The crazy thing about it this week was none of the Wigan players even appealed, when normally an opposing player appeals if the ball comes closer than 5 yards to the oppositions hand in the box. Why? The fiasco at Old Trafford in Grants first game in charge has been talked about enough well over the season. OK the standard of refereeing in the Premiership was <deleted> this season. Are refs themselves not bothering to keep up the standard, or are they being influenced? We did not have all the bad breaks either, Chelsea's penalty against Liverpool early in season proved that. But what happened to the ref that made that blunder. He was sacked on the spot.

I think that even being a Chelsea supporter, I do look at most games with a fair attitude, so what is going wrong? Anyone agree with me, or am I ( and a deal of others) being totally paranoid?

the ref wants shooting for the penalty incident, scholes should have been booked for the second time, the tirade of abuse by baby rooney should have been a straight red and the fiasco of ronaldo, who kept spiting his dummy out and play acting all day makes me believe man poo can get away with anything.

goarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn stoke

It wasn't a penalty as it hit his shoulder, hence the lack or reaction from the players. In fact it was the commentators who went on more about that particular incident. Scholes was lucky I agree, but United should have also had another penalty which was turned down later in the game.

It's a bit rich for Chelsea fans to be complaining, considering the antics of messers Terry, Cashley, Drogba and Carvalleho.

I think you are being paranoid, there is no conspiracy although I'd agree that the bigger teams often get favourable calls, and I include Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in that.

It wasn't a penalty as it hit his shoulder,

I'm sorry old pal, but it definately looked below his shoulder. Even though, in a normal game you would have everyone down to the ball boy at Wimbledon screaming for a free shot at goal. I've seen a ball hit a players head and got more reaction. And also for the first time in the Premiership season this year, the ref didn't need more protection than Salamon Rushdie visiting the Taj Mahal, when he gave the spot kick. No, There's more fishy goings on in the Premieship than the Icelandic Cod War.

they wont have ref protection in moscow ,and chelsea will win

A bit ironic coming from the most despicable Club with the nastiest, players in the English league. Only my opinion of course. Albeit one shared with countless millions of others. :o

Paranois is curable!

Why would Salman Rushdie need protection at the Taj Mahal - its in India not Pakistan or other muslim country or had you not noticed - an analogy as daft as the assertion of bias trying to his the deathly stench of sour grapes and a sore loser.

Before you ask I do not support man U but Sunderland but whinging attitudes like yours has me wanting them to win the game in Moscow just to hear Chelsea whine even more.

The cheat Drogba might just play his last game for you there.

I'm confused, it was either definate, or it might of been. I'll stick to my earlier statement, that for me it wasn't a penalty, and I think the reaction of the Wigan players says as much. I doubt that it will appease the conspiracy theory that the Chelsea lot have anyway.

I'm sure the ongoing debate about it will continue to mask the dissapointment of the Chelsea players and fans who will claim they were robbed. It's all rather irrelevant anyway, lots of coulds, shoulds and maybes, seasons aren't won on the odd decision, and in the end Chelsea didn't get enough points.

As for Grants comments, total and utter BS, from a team of whingers who are far from popular with a significant amount of fans of other clubs due to their on field conduct.

Salman visiting the Taj Mahal? The only hassle he'll get there is from the countless numbers of irritating tour guides and souvenier sellers outside. :o

It wasnt a penalty but Scholes was very lucky to stay on the pitch. He's been in the side for 15 years but his tackling has never improved :o

I think whoever are the champions court jealousy from other supporters.Just the same when Chelsea,Arsenal and Liverpool won it....only because every decision went there way, think not !

But I do think Avram Grant is playing a dangerous game with his comments. It will just fire the United players up.

Remember last week when he said there should be a play off with the teams finishing on the same points. That backfired a bit on him didnt it !

But then again, like Drogba,Moscow could be his final game so he's got nothing to lose.

I dont really want to get into this debate, but personal feeling is that we have had more decisions go against us, often wrongly. some at very crucial times I must add.

Never mind Drogba and Grant - if they lose in Moscow Abronovitch looks like getting bored with spending too and then Chelsea will return to the expcted mediocraty!

I don't think that the Ferdinand incident merited a penalty but I do agree that Scholes should have received a second yellow and should have been sent off.

Man Utd probanly get more penalties than they concede because they spend more time in the opposition's box than their own. I'm not sure of the statistics involving Derby but I'm sure they would have conceded more penalties than they were awarded.

Chelsea have also had decisions in their favour to this season. I can remeber against Newcastle at the Bridge when Kalou scored the winner in the dying minutes when he was at least 3 yards offside. It wasn't even close and the linesman got that decision terribly wrong. Sam Allardyce went on to say that the bad decision cost him his job. :o

Exactly the points made on 606 by Allan Green and others

The best team this year won the league - most neutrals would agree if some would only grudgingly.

Chelsea are a bunch of bad losing southern whingers with fans to match it seems.

A couple of years of glory has gone to their heads - a bunch of bigots, businessmen on corporate jollies and glory hunters he lot of them

I couldnt agree with the poster more about Man U. Its not only the big decisions that go their way. Fouls, throw ins, corners etc theu seem to get the benefit of the doubt all the time. After the disallowed goal for Spurs that was a mile over the line I have studiously avoided watching any match they are involved in.

Terry is always sticking his arms out in the box and getting away with it.

As someone else so rightly said, all the top teams get decisions going their way at times. Unless you are going to start complaining when they go your way, i don't think complaining when they go another team's way achieves anything apart from making you look like a bad loser.

Accept that over the season, there was only one winner of the Premiership, and it was pretty obvious who that was.

I think a better title would be " Now watch me wind this lot up" 55555555555555555555555555555555

:D

I say this, as I can remember a few Chelsea fans bleating on about how the "Ashley Cole is a T%$T thread" was inciteful. That ended up getting closed as well.

BTW, I couldn't careless, it's pretty amusing really.

Looking forward to the game on Wednesday now.

P.S. FC, I am joking about wanting the thread closed. :D

Actually in all seriousness, I can't see United living with Chelsea head to head in a European showdown. The main hype now is Rooney,Tevez and Ronaldo scoring 70+ goals between the three of them. So what if you take those out of the equation?

Why would you take those 3 out? You might as well say take Drogba out of the Chelsea team and they'd have the sames goals total as Derby.

Man Utd are going to stuff Chelsea 3-1. Man Utd's B team only lost due to bad luck a few weeks ago with two balls cleared off the Chelsea line. Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez are going to terrorise Chelsea's back line and Vidic and Ferdinand are going to make Drogba look like he never got off the plane.
