M4a Files Convert To Mp3--vista Machine

Featured Replies

OK, my sister gave me some gift certificates to Itunes, but unfortunately my mp3 player only plays mp3s and not m4a files. I tried downloading something called quickmedia converter but it didn't install properly (probably because its vista :o)

So, does anyone have any ideas on how I can install this legally downloaded music on something that is not an Apple device? They are as annoying as MS!

That’s a peace of cake.

But since you called me a troll in not going to tell you.

Peace.

Give this a try sbk - a program called bonkenc, dont think i am supposed to post links so just do a google for it and you'll find it - it's freeware and works well on XP - hopefully vista too, small install so worth a try. I've used this to convert m4a to mp3 loads.

Thanks Dan, I've used bonkencoder before and had forgotten about it. It worked perfectly, even on Vista. Appreciate the helpful response :o

Couldn't you just have used iTunes? Preferences->Advanced->Import, set format to MP3. Then right click on the files in question and select "Convert to MP3".
