Wow, I was away for just a day, and so much progress. Could someone put up a post with clear instructions how to connect to the hub. Is the hub IP going to change each day?

Can't connect, it says it is a registered users hub only.

Info it wants

Hub name --- ???

Address --- 91.90.3.119

Description --- ???

nick ---- whats free?

password ---- same as user name?

description ----???

How about giving us the user account names the same as the names in this forum so that we know our own name is always free, as I'm not sure what is free right now.

Am about to instal messanger.

Cheers

Pandit

Getting steady 70 kBs D/L. U/L at full speed too. This is the way to go. Gotto hand it to h90, got this idea moving fast.

Ok, hub is down now (presumably 24 hour disconnect). I am still connected to Jonboy however and still DLing sky captain at good speeds, which answers that question.

are you sure that's the correct IP - I keep getting 'connection timeout' with the new IP

oh hang on it's trying to connect to the old IP for some reason

ok you can't just change the IP in the hub settings you must click NEW and put in the info afresh.

For any new aspirants (hehe)

make sure in DC++ you go to file/settings/general and put in the IP that TRUE or whoever has given you - enabling ACTIVE mode. This means that if you UL or DL you will connect direct to that machine and not have the file passed through the hub computer which would put unnecessary strain on h90, slow your transfer down a lot, and also you will be disconnected if the hub goes offline (with active mode your transfers will continue without the hub.) You need to do this EVERY TIME you dial out to get a new connection. You can find the IP if you click on the internet connection symbol in your tasktray, and copy the 'client server IP'.

I know you can work this out alone, but it can't hurt to make it clear.
