Education ED (multi-entry), where you have to leave every 90 days :o

hmm, better asked in the visa forum but i think penang is the best place to go

All you have to do is enter another country and return. That can be done at the Malaysian border (Sadao) or with a quick trip to Burma from Raynong.

Personally I always used to go to Pedang Besar (Malaysia)

There is a bus and a mini bus service to Had Yai from Nathon.

When in Had Yai the driver will take you to the Pedang mini bus office.Get the mini bus to the border where you will find motorbike taxis waiting. They will give you the exit/entry forms to fill in. Take you to the Thai exit gate , on to the Malaysian entry and back out again , then back into Thailand. If you wish they will also stop at the duty free shop. He will then take you to the Mini bus office where you get the bus back to Had Yai.

Stay the night in Had Yai and get the bus or mini bus back to Samui in the morning.

Sounds a bit daunting but it is easy.

I have not been in six or seven years but Sadao had developed into a city right at the immigration gate and there was a covered walkway to the Malaysian side with the duty free in between. Never did cross at Padang except by train.

I must admit I have not done it for a few years either.

Call Julie at julies visa runs, her number is in samui express
