Tourist Extention

Just come back from Jomtien to have my Tourist visa extended thought that I had everything that I had last time only to be asked for a copy of the Tourist visa page stuck in my passport I am sure that I have not been asked for this before is it a new requirement

i think i always have had to have it, always seem to go in shop next door, and they just get on with it, take your passport, know what bits to copy, take your coin, and off ya go!

Was it your last 30 days extension of your tr? Did you have to show an airticket?

No it was my first on this visa but I was not asked for an air ticket in March when I had to renew for the third time on my last tourist visa

It's always been required that you need a photocopy of your tourist visa that you're extending. This would seem obvious.

Sorry if I have confused people. This is the third visa extension that I have applied for an extension on two different tourist visa's. On the first two extensions I was only asked to supply a copy of information page of Passport and a copy of TM6 Departure Card as stated in this link http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?sh...t=#entry1664585 but this time I was also asked to go and get a copy of my Tourist visa in my Passport which is the first time for me

Chris I think that you have got two post mixed up you are correct I was talking about the visa stuck in the passport

The second comment I was answering a question from TinuB about the requirements of a return flight ticket on the final available extention (I should of included a quote in my answer)

Chris I think that you have got two post mixed up you are correct I was talking about the visa stuck in the passport

it does, cheers offset, and "is it a new requirement" i think no mate, as far as i remember, copy of ya details page and one of your current visa, just on that in i think it was either kl or singapore, i had one very helpfull lady want a copy of every focking page, cos it wo 5 to 12 or somthing and she didnt want to play ball, when i explained to her that it would serve no porpose in copying blank pages, and that i thought she was a very nice friendly person, she explained i wouldnt be needing her again and wrote on ma passport not to return!!!!

got to treat some of these people like god, cos most think they are anyway!
