Driving From Chonburi To Chang Rai

Hi, im looking at driving from chonburi to chang rai later this month, has anybody driven there before and have any advice and especially does anybody know if there are any NGV service stations along the way, if not it will prob work out just as cheap to fly.

Yes, a couple of times. I've taken different routes each time depends if you are looking for speed or a holiday experiance, also if you are visiting places on the way? With an early start you can do it in a long day, nicer if you an plan a stop over at about 3/4 of the way up. This would allow breakfast and arrival in CR for midday.
....and especially does anybody know if there are any NGV service stations along the way, if not it will prob work out just as cheap to fly.
Probably a selection of PTT stations along Highway 1. No direct experiance of needing NGV.

Done the trip a few times from Chiangmai, but Chiangrai is a borderline overnight stop, depending on your stamina. Chiangmai/Chiangrai is about two and a half hours, and a reasonable highway. Keep on the main highway from Bangkok and you will find a lot of the larger PTT stations have gas.
