I guess it depends on how much money you need to refurbish the cave/bridge that you're living in/under.

You should receive one-ninth of the sin sot. This is the accepted amount in Thai culture.

If the family of the bride do not hand over one-ninth of the sin sot, you must shoot one of them for making you lose face. This is acceptable under the etiquette rules known as 'Thai culture'.

You must then give an amount not less than 50,000 Baht to the police so you are not prosecuted. This can be found in the book entitled, "Thai culture".

it is to be noted that this "commission" is to be refunded by the parents , should the marriage fail within 20 years after the wedding date, or should the husband fail to be fair , or should the wife fall for another farang. This refund is of course increased with daily interests to be agreed at the time of the deal........
