Naga Fireballs Spotted On The Mekong River

Featured Replies

they appear to be a bit late this year but they have been seen shooting up from the river, according to thais i know who have been watching out for them.

strange that nobody seems to have caught them on a video camera for Thai TV ,

or have i missed them on TV ??

nothing in the press as far as i can see .

is this a scam to bring them in for the money ?

Scam!

They're about as genuine as the Loch Ness monster

Saw I clip on a Thai tv station yesterday showing the naga fire balls.

It was very difficult to discern much due to the shakey camerawork. :o

Same reason why you don't see clear UFO photos, I suppose :o

Gee, all you guys are all spoilt sports. I still believe in the tooth fairy and santa, so why not the fireballs? :o

It the Thai feild artillary unit. :o

they were supposed to come up on Thursday but they didn't. I was at the River and waited and waited with my parents and 8 of their friends.. nothing. The next day (friday) they definitely came up.. I did see it on the news on TV.. and several ppl called us to let us know that they came up.

not that I believe it.. I just happen to be in the area.

Reallife fireballs a damp squib as rains come down

More than 200,000 people who flocked to see the “naga fireballs” in Nong Khai last night were disappointed by an unusually poor show – and endured a soaking in a twohourlong heavy downpour with strong winds to boot.

:o Fireworks just won`t work in the rain!

They are late becasue the bog old pump they use to pump the gas under the river to create the fireballs has broken down again. They are trying rig up a huge treadmill and get a water buffaloe to run along it to fire it all upagain. Sould be up and running pretty soon.
