Featured Replies

Is it just me or all the previously blocked websites are now up for browsing?

if u try adult any obvious websites such as s*x.com, or torrent sites, you will find you are able to view it without any messages from the censorship ministry

I'm using True Hispeed btw

Dont ask me how I stumbled across this... :o

oh my! you mean there is internet censorship in thailand? i thought it was only in countries like china, etc. no wonder thaivisa is affected (or infected!)! hahaha... :o

TOT continuing it's defacto censorship of YouTube... :o

Well I'll be honest, and say that looking at this I tried a site which has been off-limits for years {given that it presents elements of Thai sexuality that many are not comfortable with}, and it came straight up.

All puns intended.

Welcome news indeed.

But for how long?

Still can't access YouTube!

But you see the rest of us can see youtube on TRUE from Bangkok.

So like reimar told you - don't make blanket statements. It is not the government that is blocking youtube. Take up yout gripe with your ISP.

Or get a different ISP.

They have been unblocked for some months now. I think CAT can't handle the traffic anymore.

you can't watch youtube? try using a proxy server like hidemybox.com

that always worked for me when it used to be blocked.

anyway, my end has been unblocked for months now - I'm on true.

TOT continuing it's defacto censorship of YouTube... :o

..and with no clear message like with the www.veoh.com.

ICT tasks police with apprehending 100 illegal websites

Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Man Pattanotai yesterday handed over a list of illegal websites including pornographic sites, sites violating copyright laws, gambling sites, and sites endangering national security totaling 100 sites to Deputy Commander of the Central Investigative Division of the Police, Police Major General Panya Marmen for processing.

Police Major General Panya stated that police would pursue transgressors, including issuing warrants for any site operators located abroad. :o:D

Police will also continue cooperating with the ICT to shut down websites in violation of laws after working with the ICT's various database departments to apprehend a multitude of malicious websites.

Authorities revealed that they have been able to process 90% of cases begun in the past year.

LOL... used to be the Thai Police, now it's the CAT... which provides the international gateway for most ISPs.

Definitely a good reason to switch to True, which runs its own international gateway. Or CSLoxinfo.

Police Major General Panya stated that police would pursue transgressors, including issuing warrants for any site operators located abroad.

I can just see the Warrent they will pass to the USA and other governments....

"Can you Please, Please, arrest these naughty people and send them back to Thailand so we can throw them into The Bangkok Hilton...

They have committed the dastardy crime of "Telling the Truth" !!!!

Oh My !!!! Oh Me!!! So Naughty.. So Bad !!!"

Do you think that any government Official will even Blink before they Flash them a "Full Moon" ?

Best laugh I've had all day. :o
