Price Of Work Permit

Featured Replies

Can anybody confirm that the price of work permit is going upto 20,000 baht next year. My school has been told by the local MOL. that the price will be raised next year.

Thanks

Arabic.

They changed the rules and they can now charge maximum of 20,000 baht for a work permit. However, they could already charge 10,000 baht under the old rules.

I would say an increase is likely, also because they will be able to issue a work permit for 2 years instead of 1, but 20,000 seems a bit much.

They are planning to change the rules, and they could charge THB 10,000 if they liked to.

A one-year extention of a work permit still cost THB 3,100 + THB 100 for the application.

If a non-immigrant is connected, this will cost another THB 1,900, so for approx. THB 5,000 you'll be safe for another year.

The new plan is rather drastically, and even includes some kind of 'deportation fund'. Again, it's still a plan and not in force, yet.
