endlessnights
hey.. anyone a member of fitness first (gym)? bangkok maps give me a headache.. just wondering if anyone knows if any of the locations in bkk are close to the BTS or subway? I'm going to the one in future park right now b/c that's where I live, but I'll probably be moving to bkk soon when I start working. oh yeah and I don't think they'll give you this info over the phone, but does anyone know how much extra the "plus" is? the swimming pool makes it very tempting. SK1972
There is a Fitness First in Landmark Hotel, near Nana BTS. The male fitness instructor there is the husband of a friend.

ThaiGeared_HighThaied
I know California fitness has 4 Branchs in BKK. They are better equipped ,much larger, on site w/view from inside & outside, good location, large members, great athomspher. I have been doing drug free Pro bodybuilding for 3 years early to mid 90s. http://www.californiafitness.com/index.jsp http://bangkokrecorder.com/templates/locat...p?id=232&aid=13 Some good locations are: Silom Branch: covering 5 Floors, total 46,000 SQF, some 13,000 members -Sala deang BTS E4 -Silom Subway They told me 2400Bhat monthly subscription, I know prices are not fixed for foreigners, and they try to overcharge if you don't bargain. Sukhumvit Branch: Newly opened at Jasmine tower, next to soi cowboy, But looks much smaller than Silom branch. -Asok BTS S2 -Sukhumvit Subway I checked they had opening promotion price for 850Bhat. endlessnights
looks nice though I don't see any info on the bkk locations on that first link I very well may check that out. I'm paying about 2000 baht/month - for all locations.. I think it's something like 1800/month for one location. (fitness first) I think I may just give them a call Lita I know California fitness has 4 Branchs in BKK. Unacceptable. The best price available lately at sukhumvit branch seems to be around 800-900 a month for 1 year contract. But at sukhumvit branch you're going to exercise (bodybuilding/free weights) at the basement, no window! A question, can you tell me what is the best price you got at FITNESS FIRST for a one year contract? It seems more difficult to bargain with them (seems logic, california is the challenger). No wonder if Thailand C.F have broken their promise and they have been removed from the first link (it used to be there last year with pic from silom brach) again, not sure what's real reason. It's really huge, and 3-4 times larger than sukhumvit branch, around 13,000 members and has access to it from every route in BKK by both BTS and Subway. Price, you can negotiate, and sure they will accept your price, when they feel you are aware and not a dumb farang Edited December 14, 2004 by cold_ko1
