July 11, 200818 yr It used to be that all internet traffic had to pass through CAT, but recently a few people have told me that some of the ISPs now have their own gateways out of Thailand (that don't pass through CAT). Anyone know if this is true?
July 11, 200818 yr There's 5 of them now (excluding CAT) True TT&T Csloxinfo TOT ADC As most subscribers to various ISP's have experienced, CAT's IIG is still the most efficient. Everytime one of those ISP's routed traffic through their own gateways, results were horrendous latency, dropped packets and slow speeds! CAT is not good, but at least they have a couple of years of experience on how to mess up and get going again under their belt...
July 11, 200818 yr Though that is partly because the load has been reduced, and, as noted, partly because they've some experience in working out what the big red button does Regards
