One-two-go To Cease Flights On 21st July?

Featured Replies

I'm reading conflicting information and I feel that the truth about this is very important to understand.

On one hand, I'm reading comments from Udom (the airline boss), that the company is experiencing financial problems due to the increase in oil price, so that it is possible that the airline will cease operations.

On the other hand, I' m reading from the IU website (and other sources) that legal actions following last year's aircrash are forcing the company to cease flying their MD80 fleet.

OK - if the true reason is economic reasons, then so be it and that is understandable. But if the real reason is point 2, then I'm amazed that Udom is trying to cover up the true reason for the cessation of flying - it's totally shameful!

So - does anyone know the truth? Economic reasons or lawsuits/legal actions??

Either answer works 100%. The high price of oil is going to decimate the budget carrier business, this year and next. The impending law suit will have a similar impact and I suspect it will be near impossible to tell which is the real cause.

I feel sure they will not be the last budget airline to go under. :o

but they are the only airline that really deserves it.... though, I of course feel pity for their staff, cause its not their fault at all.
