A colleague of mine is returning to the UK in a couple of weeks.

Delays mean that his work permit may not be completed before he leaves, and whilst in the UK he wants to apply for a Non-B multi entry.

My question is what would he need to qualify for a Non-B multi entry visa from the UK? He has only been in Thailand for about 6 months and his current Non-B single entry is the only one that he has had.

Would the normal doc's for a Non-B suffice? If not would a "receipt" showing that he has applied for a WP help? Or would he simply have to have a WP to qualify for the Non-B multi entry.

Also he will be in Wigan, and so am I right in thinking that he should go to the consulate in Hull?

Thanks in advance chaps/chapesses.

In SE Asia the WP3 receipt along with correct papers will not be enough to obtain a 1 year multiple entry B Visa; He would get another single entry 3 90 day non B visa.

However - from what I have read on this forum - a Thai consulate like Hull would probably find the usual paper work, plus the receipt, and an explanation of the delay to be more than adequate for a one year multiple entry non B.

He can deal with Hull by post.

You dont even need all the paperwork for the Hull Consulate, they only require the company letter with the company stamp (although having the paperwork will not do you any harm). I have had my last two Non B's from the embassy, the last one was needed urgently, they are a fantastic and efficient consulate.

Hi

Your friend must be missing the pies, ( Wigan people are known as pie eaters, and not without good reason)!

Hull is the best option for your friend in my opinion, I understand they are friendly and helpful which is nice to hear these days.

Quite fancy a Wigan pie or two myself, they taste great!

He should have no probs getting a multi non B from Hull with that paper work. I got one myself with less. DON'T try Liverpool though.

Cap.

Good advice!

The city of cultures Thai Consulate is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot.
