Be very careful doing that, my account was shut down (briefly) for accessing via a proxy. They considered it suspicious activity.

You've tried another browser?

yup

Try this in the command prompt:

C:\>ipconfig /flushdns

Also, add the openDNS servers to your network settings.

I'm still having problems with Paypal since my post here:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Paypal-Site-...l&hl=paypal

I installed PHPproxy on my web hosting, to access Paypal, but the problem is some feature (such as history search, or making payments) don't work through PHPproxy.

And I don't want to just use a proxy IP through my browser, as there is a chance the person running the proxy could be collecting my data.

It's a real pain in the ass, but who do you complain to? Paypal will say "We can't do anything amount the Thai internet networks" and TOT will say "Mai Rou"...

I've guess i'm just going to have to stick to refreshing the page 50 times when i need to make a payment.

I had a PayPal account when I moved over here from the US. I tried to log on and my account was immediately LIMITED. Limited BS, it was frozen and the PayPal computer system would NOT allow me to even log on. There are no people who work there. Everything is done via computer and after four years my account is sill LIMITED. PayPal sucks! :o

I hv exactly the same problem and also started a thread:

I forgot to say that it was "resolved", as it turned out that theres just not enough bandwidth from LOS to the US (paypal is hosted in the US), resulting in a bottleneck, so theres basically NOTHING U can do about it.

To access paypal, I need to rely on my smartphone, which connects via DTAC EDGE and works fine.

This really blows. I have been trying to access my PP account for over 24 hours and I cant login. It keeps loading and times out. I am using Maxnet. Is there an alternative way to access it?

for what its worth, ive been able to access mine for the past 2 days without a problem.

I am still having problems. Was able to login once this afternoon for a few minutes. Been trying ever since to login again but I cant.

I am not sure my information will help you but you should get in touch with your provider. I had similar problems. My provider informed us since a few days there is a problem at CAT with https and server communication. Today the issue seems to be solved for about 80%, by Saturday/Sunday it should be ok. Even if providers have their own intern. gateway they still are not entirely independent from CAT specially with secure connections.

In the last few weeks I've had several times problems accessing paypal.

Mostly when trying to initiate a payment from a "pay by PayPal" button on a merchant's website!

Problem never lasts more then 24 hours though, had it yesterday, today OK again !

Errrr....I get this explanation from TRUE in Prakanong for abt 3 weeks already, but the problem still persists.

Its quite disgusting that one is forced to use his/her cell phone via EDGE to get paypal going.

Hi :o

I had this problem yesterday, when i tried to pay for an E-Bay item. It would sit there for ever, "waiting for paypal.com"...... also a straight login via PayPal's own site didn't work. This was on my Ubuntu-machine with Firefox 3.0.

I then fired up my boyfriend's Windows-laptop (using the very same internet connection obviously) and tried with Internet Explorer - no problem whatsoever, got straight in, made my payment, logged out, done.

I then went googling the issue and found that many people worldwide seem to have this issue with Firefox 3.0, specially under Linux. It has something to do with the "flash" plugin in that Firefox version, and PayPal's login page uses flash.

Best regards......

Thanh

I try for one Week now to open an account with paypal. the first two pages go well, than it hangs. "Time out" "the connection has been reset" and so on
