Can i apply for 30 day ext. of my Thai tourist visa in Phuket,even though I live at Jomtien?

I did it last year(the immi officers were very kind and helpful)but not even sure if that office still exists.

Anyone have any info?

Of course, you are not living here on a tourist visa , so as a tourist , it should not seem odd if you popped up any place in the country to apply for an extension.

Patong Beach road as open but ONLY as far as I know for 3 months registration that you still in Thailand which likely doesnt apply to you anyway.

I have myself never had a problem with them or the one in Phuket town but I guess if your paperwork is ok they behave ok.... and I had some problems due to motorbikes! So make sure you have all papers in the pocket why you are late if you are...
