Does anyone know how you can log onto your machine without knowing the password. My wife has gone back to her mums where she has a computer and either one of her brothers or one of her sisters has added a password to the administrators account. They all deny it and are blaming it on our 3 year old niece. Ive tried instructing her over the phone to try it in safe mode but she says it still comes up with the password. anyone know away around this?

Am I the only one that uses the “password reset “option?

XP has a feature that allows you to make a reset disk that allows you to get back into your computer should the password be changed or forgotten.

This only works with the computer the disk was created on but a useful tool where if others use your computer and inadvertently change or create a password.
