Some Https Websites Are Not Accessible

Featured Replies

Since yesterday it is impossible to load Bangkok Bank Internet Banking login page

https://ibanking.bangkokbank.com/BiB/index.html

I am using CSLoxinfo SME and I use direct Internet connection, not a proxy!

My security settings are correct as ever. The bar indicator in IE6 will stall after 50% -

After 10 minutes waiting a blank page is presented stating either “the connection has been reset by the server” or “this page cannot be displayed”

So far so good. There might be a problem… if I switch connection to Loxinfos proxy server, not to my surprise, the page is loaded without problems within seconds. But I would not dare to login to my bank account through a proxy server.

According to Loxinfo they quickly identified culprit of this issue: my system!

Bangkok Bank took this matter much more serious and informed me having contacted the provider in that matter as well.

I can access other https pages likeTo make a long story short. Are there any TV member how face similar problems since yesterday?

I professional opinion what might be the cause of this issue is highly appreciated.

How can I check if port 443 is blocked? I assume it is not blocked because I can access https://www.paysbuy.com/ with no problem

I have cleared all SSL certificates, done what I could

Thanks a lot!

I had that problem yesterday. For several hours could not connect and the same message as you have. It finally cleared up and could access it but noticed there were several changes in the web site interface. Try clearing your cookies and cache since the site seems to have been updated and may need a refresh.

The site from Bangkok Bank can only be accessed if U use IE 5.0 or higher.

No Firefox or Safari browser will do the job.

Practically, this means that U cannot use Bualuang iBanking when on LINUX or on MAC.

The times when IE ruled the www. alone are well over, so its quite puzzling to learn that there still are Thai websites around which make the use of IE mandatory.

The ironic part is that IE 6.0 and IE7 are well the unsafest browsers in the market, so its quite mind boggling to learn that a bank made this choice. Absolutely outdated !

Eeeeerrr....after reading the initial post agen, I found out that my reply may be a little off topic, as U use IE6.

So pls regard it a general advise.
