We are to install airconditioning in a new townhouse, we have been advised that 4X 9000BTU and 1X 13000BTU unit would be sufficient as per the show home installation.

My question is should we install a multi split configuration (ie a number of indoor fan coil units fed from one outside condenser or go for 5 individual fan coil/condenser units.

Cost effect vs reliability.
