90 Day Ed Visa Penang Or Home Country?

Hello. I came to thailand on two 2 month tourist visa's from canada back in february. I did not have them extended. I then did a visa run to malaysia came back on a 30 day and then did two burma visa runs for 30 days each.

I have a dive school from Koh Tao offering to give me a letter for an education visa. I only need 90 days to finish my courses. My question is, is do you have to get this 90 day education visa from your home country (in my case canada) or can i do a visa run to penang and apply for it there? or is it better for me to go to kota bharu or laos?

You can get it at a neighbouring country. If doing an internship for divemaster ask the dive operator to clearly state that it is for an internship, otherwise you would be working and require a WP.

You can always apply for the 60 day tourist visa and extend this with 30 days.
