Gps Receiver

Featured Replies

I'm in the market for a GPS receiver to connect to my laptop via USB to track my movements with Fugawi or Google Earth. I used to have one, but it somehow disappeared.

I am NOT looking for one of those Garmin thingmys that tell you where you have to turn as I learned how to read a map.

I bought a Holux m-1000 Bluetooth GPS reciever at Pantip for 3000B. No complaints.

Thats a really neat device for google earth and geotagging photos.. Doesnt need a laptop to be on, simply clip it to you etc..

That looks really cool! Available in Thailand? How much is it?

Via ebay and pay the import duty or get a mate to bring it over..

Spend the extra for the super trackstick or whatever the v2 model is.. It has a motion detector that puts it to sleep when its not being moved, so the batts last much longer and it can be clipped and just left alone.

Hey Paal, can you tell me what software you are using on your laptop? I bought a Nokia Bluetooth GPS unit for my Nokia phone a while back, but I never found any software to use it on the computer......Thanks
