jmark
To see how fast other people's TRUE speed is, click on the link below, do the test, then add your result to compare your result to others in Bangkok. There are some very interesting results already! It seems like people in certain postal codes in Bangkok are getting what they pay for, while others are not. http://sea.speakeasy.net/
Dancali
I get about 252/56. True says it's impossible for me to upgrade from their basic 512/256 level so my area might suck (around Payathai BTS station).

mouse
Just to throw my two cents worth into the ring; I get 448kbps down and 96kbps up on my ipStar connection. Although I bought 1.5GB package (512kbps/126kbps), I am happy. Then again, I have no other choice due to the remote location I live at. It certaily is better than the 9,600 Baud I was getting while connected to my AIS handset for the first two years here.

Crushdepth
Thanks...it seems to support the theory that if there isn't much bandwidth available and you pay for a very fast package, you don't get treated any more favourably than someone on a slower package. ie. everyone is left to suffer equally ! JJDinsay
Dr. John: Your BS detector is working perfectly fine. Those are my speeds - not trying to impress anybody (not saying they are going to stay that way). And yes I am quite happy - 4mbps, I know I'm never gonna get and I understand it's my ADSL connection to the TRUE network - but it's fast enough at these speeds. I took the advice here of some people that to go for the higher spec'd package as your actual speed maybe half or even 30% of that. If I went with the 590b package I'd be suffering. melus
Adding: 747 down 426 up on true's gauranteed sme package of 2048/512 at area code 10400 (within 2 kilometers of true's office tower on Ratchadapisek Road). Should be better than that, but lots of internet users in this area.
