CAL, EVA to cut flights

TAIPEI, Taiwan: -- Both China Airlines (CAL) and EVA Air have announced that because of continuing high fuel prices, they will cut a number of flights effective September 1.

CAL will cut at least 10 flights per week including four flights to Los Angeles, four to Vancouver, one or two to San Francisco, and one to New York.

EVA will cut 25 weekly flights. Affected will be six flights to Los Angeles, two to San Francisco, one to Seattle, one to Amsterdam, five to Hong Kong, three to Ho Chi Minh City, two to Singapore, two to Bangkok, two to Jakarta and one to Kuala Lumpur.
