Bob Chittie
This doesn't have a lot to do with Thailand apart from the fact that I can't get the answer I'm looking for from the salespeople here. For digital cameras, the resolution standard for consumer cameras is usually 2.0 to 5.0 megapixels. So for digital video cameras what is the standard or are they all the same resolution? Also, do most digital video cameras record to digital tape? I see most have memory stick slots, but surely you couldn't record much video, even to a 1 gig stick. Thanks for any information! thepainter
any good DV camera records to tape.As far as resolution goes the more$ the better the camera. The cards are mostly used for photo if the camera has that option. The ones that have the still image options will vary in the resolution. You should take a peek at some of DV web sites to get a better grasp.Just type Digital Video in and your off. Hope I helped a bit...
Bob Chittie
Thanks! Do you know of any good websites discussing digital video cameras?
Thetyim
Digital still cameras are in the 2-5 mp range agreed. Digital video cameras are much lower in the one mp range. Do not buy a video camera if you want to take stills
