Press conference announces arrested of suspected necklace thief.

On Sunday Afternoon, Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police held a press conference to announce the arrest of a suspected thief in connection with a Gold Necklace Snatch which occurred earlier in the day at the Dolphin Roundabout in North Pattaya.

The victim of the snatch, Mr. Gary Zimmerman aged 55 from USA raised the alarm and luckily Police were nearby and gave chase to two suspects who fled the scene on their motorbike. Police managed to arrest one of the suspected thieves behind Carrefour Shopping Center in Central Pattaya, who was in possession of the victims 1 Baht-weighted Gold Necklace worth around 13,000 Baht.

Khun Henry aged 18 who is of Thai and German origin was arrested and taken to Pattaya Police Station where he was identified by the victim. Details of the second suspect who escaped, Khun Banyar aged 19 were given to Police and an arrest warrant has now been issued for him in connection with the case
