One obsessed Thai fighting another obsessed Thai

post-13995-1219926513_thumb.jpg Sondhi Limthongkul

It’s not about Samak or Thaksin anymore.

It’s a –PERSONAL- fight for Sondhi’s own right. The fight, this time, for his own Political Power which, he thinks, should belong to him (and a part of the Elite)…whether the Highest Authority in the country feels the same is quite doubtful.

And he, clever as he is, uses a minority of Thai people to try and reach his goals by organizing protests and occupying the Government House’s premises.

And, he’s good in organizing protests, remember ?

He, a one-time very close friend of Thaksin, lost face when he got bankrupt and choses to fight his former friend.

The reasons to do so are not important anymore because this is not about REAL democracy for the Thai population but about POLITICAL POWER for Mr. Sondhi and his allies.

I’m not discussing here the role of Thaksin and whether he should face trial, yes or no, since I leave that to Thai justice. I’m not a Thai Judge.

Pesonally, I think Sondhi overstept the rules of democracy since he is not even part of the government.

So he created PAD and WHAT is the PAD ?

A small minority group; nothing more, nothing less.

And this political (is it ?) group is used by it’s creator Sondhi to try and bring down the present elected government whether that’s a good or bad government.

And a group of 10, 20, 30.000 hot tempered (and maybe paid ?) Thai follow this obsessed man since they, apparently, have nothing else to do.

Would President Nicolas Sarkozy of France allow a minority bunch of protesters against his government allow to take control of the Palais de l'Élysée ?

NO.

Would President George W. Bush allow a minority of American protesters take control of the White House grounds ?

NO.

Would the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown allow a minority, not agreeing with his government, to take control of Downing Street 10 ?

NO.

If the present government has to leave it should be done in Parliament and through –again- new elections.

Not the way a single obsessed and maniac man wants to do it.

Sondhi Limthongkul at his own way because it is not in the interest of the Thai population.

If Sondhi comes into Power Thailand is worse off, especially for the rural poor, even with another obsessed (Samak) at the steering wheel.

One tycoon replaced by another tycoon.

I wonder what the rural poor think of that ?

Time will tell.
