as street vendors ?

as street vendors ?

Work a 10 hour day, selling one portion every 20 seconds.

Hmmm.

Work a 10 hour day, selling one portion every 20 seconds.

And eating one himself every 10 seconds, judging from his stomach.

I'd be interested in seeing how much the fried chicken/noodle soup/ etc. stands turn over, and what the profit margin is. I have often thought that these guys in a good position make a load of cash. I once asked, after I had eaten there regularly for a long time, how much rent he paid to set up his stand outside of a supermarket. He told me 25,000 Baht/month. But he wouldn't say how much profit he made.... And this 25,000 Baht just to park your wagon for maybe 8 hours in the evening and set up some tables, no shop, water, electricity.
