Printing Good Quality Business Cards In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good printer in Chiang Mai? I would like some good quality business cards made.

Thanks very much!

It depends on where you are in chiang mai, I always use the printer behind 7-11 on chang klan road, its the 7-11 opposite the memorial hospital and the post office on chang klan road if you park in the car park you can't miss him. he's not the quickest, it usually takes him around 3 days but the quality is good and I get 100 cards for 200 thb. the quality is always good and ive never had any mistakes.

best printer in town:

Santipab Pack Print Co.,Ltd.

Thank you!

I ended up going to Santipab on KaewNawarat Road as it's a bit closer to me. They seem quite good - a lot of different types of papers to choose from. Cards can be printed or screen printed.

Roughly where on KaewNawarat Road is this place?

Coming from the Children's court side towards the bridge, it's on the left hand side may be a block or two from the bridge. Here's their number: 053 241 519.

Do they have standard lay outs or can I bring my own design?

I would like to design it myself and go to a printer.

But how are the standard lay outs?

I use the guy behind 7/11 on Changklan also. Pretty good. Reasonably priced and quick turn around.

He is happy to sit down and design with you also.

Don't think they have standard layouts, but you can get them to design for you.

And of course you can design yourself.

There is very good business card printer at Carrefours on superhighway. They have booth right in front of checkout. Will print up cards on same day, 20-30 minutes.

Does any printer in town use thermography for a quality look. I hate the flat (cheap) print letter look snd feel. Engraving not in of my budget.

Thank you!

What are you talking about? I was there and they had 4 glossy white paper in different thicknesses and 1 cream paper. If you want coloured paper it can only be printed, costs 1,000 baht. The result is ugly (not even) and the colour I wanted was not possible.

I decided to have 100 cards for 300 baht, but only because I need them a.s.a.p. I really don't know why you are so positive. Maybe Santipab changed their products in the last 2 years...

The good thing: It takes only 1 day.

Location: Between Shell petrol station and exit to Arcade station.

Next time I will try the one at the Chang Klang Road. A bit :) ...

Sorry Tomahawk, I am at Carrefour and just went to this printer... if it is the same printer (left from the post box, Carrefour check out) I wouldn't say " very good business card printer" . I even wouldn't say "a good business printer".

@Soulwy:

If you print in small amounts you will have a limited choice of paper. Because you get digital prints.

Hey, sorry for my tone... it was hot, I was tired, drove all the way to Carrefour...well, I was a bit cranky...

I went to Santipab again and an other lady helped me and...she showed me more paper options! I don't understand why lady no. 1 showed me only 4 ... But it's ok, I found a winner.

If you want really high quality paper --- I can suggest Paper HQ on Singharat Rd in the soi next to the nice coffee shop near Wat Phra Sing. Their cards looked great and they can reccoend a printer.

Caveat --- the paper isn't cheap (mostly) but it is impressive. I'll be having my personal cards made from their product next week. (My company cards are just fine but I want my personal cards to have more 'zing' to them)

Regarding Santipab Pack Print Co.,Ltd.:

I assume Santipab has moved since 2008 or the poster was drunk: either way, those directions are terrible. They're now located in a drab, grey building between Superhighway and McCormack Hospital. Heading toward the old city area, it's on the left side. The only visible "Santipab Print Pack" is in tiny lettering on the door. I just spent half the day trying to find it, better luck to the next person.

By the way, I was quoted one price for business cards, and told there is no lower one, regardless of paper or other options: 4 baht per biz card. Im going to try somewhere else, felt rushed through the process, had someone hacking away at my file, and finally just decided to say no.

If you want printing in C.M. there are many, many print shops in the small Sois off Chang Puek Road after the bus station (heading North). E.g. on Chang Puek soi 4 and the sois between there and the Mecure hotel/Tops as well as in the soi opposite Mercure. Just drive round and check some out though for best results you'll likely need someone with you who can speak Thai.
