bangkokeddy
A colleague of mine is looking for a 400+ bike, must have green reg. book. Budget around 40k quick cash sale. Any old iron out there? You can deal with him direct. What can one get for 40k these days? Soiled CB400? tired Rebel 250 without a cause? CX400 dispatcher nightmare? hand painted CB1? Platinum disaster? Nice mountain bike? Bangkok Eddy

BlackArtemis
400cc up, 40K WITH Green Book... Good luck! Why? I have seen a Cb750 with plates, stickers, book and in great condition go for 55k.
LivinLOS
Get on the thai forums, mocyc dbigbike, etc. Be VERY aware of book issues.. This price and size is where they are rife. I would say add 10k and get a useable bandit.. 40 is the dog end and will need more money to run, 50 - 60 gets a running bike that can work. Pikey
Agree with LivinLOS, you'd really be scraping the barrel to get a plated bike for that kind of money. Decent nick unplated 400s still go for 60K+ so you should probably advise your mate to either forget it, be prepared for a lot of pain (mechanical and administrative) or dig a bit deeper into his pockets. Cheers, Pikey.
JSixpack
You'll spend another 50k on parts/repairs/rebuilds.
