crazyeddie Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Wow, that got my attention as I live in Korat not far from the big Tesco Lotus. So who is claiming responsibility for this "bomb"? Could it possibly have anything to do with the PAD and Samak in Bangkok? Or perhaps some coalition of the mom and pop stores waging war on the mega store chain? CWMcMurray Posted September 10, 2008 Share Posted September 10, 2008 My wife is from Pakchong and she speaks with her parents daily, if true it seems odd that this never came up... I do know that there were alot of people (shop owners in the local market) against the opening of the Tesco Lotus six months ago and there were bomb threats, but nothing ever actually hapened other than 1 month delay in the grand opening.
