pammy123
There are local municipal elections this Sunday, does anyone know the situation regarding bars closing? I have heard that there is no closure required as only about 35,000 are registered to vote.

SamuiMole
Letters arrived tonight in bars around the Green Mango area , no alcohol sales between 6pm Saturday & midnight Sunday. I guess the influential people paying 2,000 baht per head to rig the vote dont want to chance their supporters being too p#ssed to remember who bought their vote , absolute farce ! OK to rig an election but wrong to serve beer to a foreign tourist on holiday.

The sales of sangsom will double and every thai who would normally be working will be paralytic. What was the reason for closing the bars again?
