Working On Retirement Visa?

I read somewhere on this site that restrictions were being reviewed re being able to teach English while on a Retirement Visa. Can anyone shed some light on this plse? Tnks

Under the new employment rules it is possible to get a work permit on a retirement visa. However, not all labour offices will isue a work permit on a retirement visa. It seems to be allowed in Bangkok, but not in Chonburi and Pattaya.

You will just have to try and see.

I have a WP Issued here for me in Pattaya and am on a Retirement Visa have had the WP for about 2 years now

Tnks for the replies. U have made my day as I wasn't keen to be an illegal. Looking forward to leaving behind the doom and gloom of the world wide economy crisis, feelling warm again and enjoying the los & to now know that I can still work and be legal is great news. Tnks again.
